Objectification.

For most people, it is not hard to figure out that Rap and Hip Hop music objectify women, but the objectification of women is talked about much less amongst other genres of music. Is this because it isn't there, it is more subtle, or we just don't care? The truth of the matter is, that it is everywhere. Not just in Rap and Hip Hop, or just in music. It is present in all forms of entertainment, but for now I'll focus on music. A lot of people listen to music, really enjoy the beat of the music, coin it as their new favorite song, and share it with their friends, frequently not even taking into account what is being said. Even I am guilty of this. I'll be posting song lyrics, potentially videos as well, and we can analyze these songs. What are our idols really saying about us?

To start off:
What are your thoughts on the objectification of women in music?

Feedback is very welcome and much appreciated.
